I paired the Arched Wishes stamp set with the Everyday Arches dies to create my two cards today. The stamp set and dies work well together so it’s relatively easy to create cards. The stamp set has a cupcake, balloons and sentiments to make it easy to create a card to celebrate a birthday. The die set consists of 10 sizes of arches making it easy to build layers.
Using the largest Everyday Arches die cut the base card in Blueberry Bushel, 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4 1/4″ taking care to place the die as close to the edge as possible without cutting the fold. Die cut a piece of Peach Pie using the second largest die. Stamp the sentiment, balloons and stars in Blueberry Bushel. Stamp two balloons in Blueberry Bushel on a scrap of Wildflower Birthday DSP, fussy cut it out and adhered them over the balloons already stamped on the Peach Pie.
Start with a base of Petunia Pop, 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″. Add a layer of Bubble Bath, 4″ x 5.25″, then a layer of DSP from Cute as Can Bee 3.75″ x 5″. Cut an arch in Petunia Pop using the third largest die, then cut an arch in Basic White with the fourth largest die. Stamp the sentiment in Petunia Pop and the cupcake in Memento Black. Colour the cupcake with Petunia Pop Blends and the icing in Bubble Bath Blends. The candle light is stamped in Daffodil Delight. Add Wink of Stella to the icing and candle light. Finish with 3 sequins from the Starburst Sequins. Glue to the Petunia Pop arch and add to card with Dimensionals.
If you prefer a softer looking card, I made this one using Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon. I like it, but wanted something with a little more “pop” so that’s why in my live video, I changed the colours to the Blueberry Bushel and Peach Pie (shown above).
Here’s a look at the inside of my cards.
