I love this card, the penguins are so adorable! I created a quick card using the hinge fold technique.
I started with a base card in Pool Party cardstock that measured 7 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scored at 4 1/4”. The front mat in Real Red measures 3” x 5 1/4”, which is glued to card. The front DSP from Snowy Scenes measures 2 3/4” x 5” and is glued to the front of the card.
The inside mat in Real Red measures 4” x 5 1/4”. The Hinge piece in Real Red measures 3 1/2” x 2”, scored at 1/2”. Fold and glue the 1/2” part under the Real Red mat. Then adhere to inside of card. Add the strip of DSP that measures 1 1/4” x 5” to the inside white piece that measures 3 3/4” x 5”. Then glue the white piece to the inside of the card.
The “hinge” DSP measures 2 3/4” x 1 3/4” and is glued to the hinge piece. I die cut a penguin from the DSP and adhered to the hinge piece with Dimensionals. I stamped the “Be Merry” sentiment, from the Christmas Labels stamp set, in Real Red, cut with scissors and added with Dimensionals.
Lastly, I randomly glued some of the White Loose Snowflakes to the front of the card.
I hope you enjoyed my card and will make one of your own. For more detailed information, here’s my video on how I made the hinge fold card.
