Double Z Fun Fold Card

For this week’s Facebook Live, I shared a fabulous fun fold card that looks complicated—but trust me, it’s easier than it looks! I CASEd the design from the talented Laura Stranks, a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Australia. I just loved how clever and eye-catching the fold is, and I couldn’t wait to try it out myself.

Here are the pieces you will need to create this card. You will need 2 different DSP’s that coordinate well together. For example on my card, the floral DSP is DSP “A” and the two toned0 Timid Tiger is DSP “B”.
2 each DSP “A” 5 1/4″ x 1 1/2″
2 each DSP “B” 5 1/4″ x 1 1/2″
2 each DSP “A” 2 1/8″ x 3/4″
4 each DSP “A” 1 1/2″ x 3/4″
1 each Basic White 3 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ (for middle)
1 each Basic White 5″ x 3 1/2″ (for back of card)

Here are the directions and measurements for creating this card.
Start with cardstock cut to 11″ x 7 1/2″.
On the long side, score at 1 3/4″ and 3 1/2″. Rotate 180° and score again at 1 3/4″ and 3 1/2″
On short side, cut 2 strips each one 1″ wide. On the strips, cut off up to the second score line.
Fold into Z folds and burnish all score lines.
Adhere the two DSP “B” to the inner panels of the base. (I did that later but its best to do it now.)
Adhere the longer section of one of the 1″ Z folded pieces to the lower section of the outer panel.
Pull the Z fold across and adhere other end alongside the inner score line.
Repeat with the other 1″ Z folded piece adhering to the top of the card.
Adhere all other DSP pieces to the appropriate sections according to size.
Create some decorative pieces to go into the corners of the card front.
Stamp and decorate as desired.

I used Mossy Meadow for my base card, and my designer paper is from the Floral Charm DSP.
I stamped the small flower from the Charming Day stamp set in Memento Black, coloured with Mossy Meadow Blends and Berry Burst Blends, then die cut with Charming Day coordinating die. Glued the flowers to the corners of the card.

The other card I made earlier also used the Floral Charm DSP and the same flower. Cardstock is Timid Tiger. Flower was stamped in Memento Black and coloured with Misty Moonlight Blends and the leaves with the Mossy Meadow Blends. Middle piece was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.
