For my facebook live on Wednesday I decided it would be a good idea to showcase some Sale-A-Bration products. I played with the Corner in Bloom photopolymer stamp set, Bloom Impressions DSP, the Starstruck Embossing Folder and the Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins. Here are the cards I created.
I created this card ahead of my facebook live. This stamp is from the Corner in Bloom stamp set, free with $150 order, and I stamped it in Memento Black on a piece of Basic White that measures 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. As I am away on vacation I have limited supplies and didn’t have an acrylic block large enough to hold this stamp. After trying various ideas that didn’t work. I ended up using the cutting plate for the Cut & Emboss machine. This worked pretty well, except for a whole bunch of black ink I got all over it, but it wiped clean so yay!! I coloured the flowers with the Melon Mambo Blends and the leaves with Granny Apple Green Blends. I added some Iridescent Faceted Gems that I first coloured with the Dark Granny Apple Green Blend. The sentiment is from the With You in Mind stamp set (from the January-April mini catalogue), stamped in Melon Mambo. This was then all adhered to a Melon Mambo card base.
I started with a thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. I cut a piece of the purple paper from the Bloom Impressions DSP 4″ x 5 1/4″, embossed it with the Starstruck Embossing Folder, then glued to the card base. I then cut a piece of Basic White 3″ x 4″ and stamped the corner floral design from the Corner in Bloom stamp set in Memento Black. The flowers were coloured with the Fresh Freesia Blends and the leaves with Granny Apple Green Blends. The sentiment is from the Happiest Day stamp set and stamped in Fresh Freesia. I added some sequins from the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins. This card uses 4 of the FREE Sale-A-Bration products!
The last card was made using scraps. I’m always on the lookout for cards that can I make using up some of my scraps as lets face it, we all have more bits and pieces of paper than we know what to do with. These scraps are from the Sale-A-Bration Bloom Impressions DSP and are cut at 1″ x 3 3/4″. I glued them on a piece of Basic White that measured 5 1/4″ x 4″. The first scrap I glued on was the middle one and from there worked my way to both ends just randomly adding the scraps. Then glue that to the card base of Thick Basic White. The sentiment is from the Wanted to Say dies. I cut the words in Basic Black, adding our Adhesive Sheets to the back of the cardstock and ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine 2 or 3 times to ensure it was cut through. This made it very easy to adhere to the shadow part which was cut in Basic White and then added to the card with Dimensionals. I added some sequins from the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
As you can see, I also created the same card in Basic Black. The sentiment colours were reversed and some Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments were added to the card.
