I have a couple of pretty floral cards for you today using the Floral Delight suite. This is a lovely suite with beautiful bright yellow floral paper and a bright yellow ribbon to match, not to mention the Delightful Wishes stamp set and all the dies that come with the suite. There is also some floral and gingham vellum paper. And let’s not forget the tiny gold metal bumblebees to add some fun to your project. Like I said, this suite has everything you need to create a variety of beautiful cards, scrapbooking pages and other projects.
I admit that with all the dies, it took me awhile to figure out what they all were and how they went together, so I cut one of every die and put them on a “cheat sheet”. This helped me see all the dies at once, what was available and how they fit together.
This card was CASE’d from the January-April 2025 mini catalogue. I used Lemon Lolly as the base card. I cut a piece of the Floral & Gingham Vellum to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and adhered to a piece of Basic White in the same size, taking care that my adhesive would not show through the vellum. I wrapped a strip of ribbon around the vellum, then added a 2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of the brown DSP. 3 flowers were stamped in Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight. Rather than trying to stamp only 1 of the three centers (there are 3 on the stamp), I coloured just one of them with a Pecan Pie Marker (NOT a Blend) and used that on the flower. Leaves were stamped in Old Olive. I die cut one large and one small flower in Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight. The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive. Prior to die cutting the “wishing” in Old Olive and the background in Basic White, I added the Adhesive Sheets to both pieces. More ribbon was added on an angle. Everything was now added with Dimensionals, excluding the “wishing” sentiment which had the adhesive sheet backing on it.
This card was created using a Basic White Thick base with a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ layer in Fresh Freesia. Then a layer of Petunia Pop 4″ x 5 1/4″ that was die cut using the Pattern of Friendship die. I love this new die! I stamped on a piece of Basic White that had been cut with the Textured Notes dies. I stamped the flowers in Petunia Pop and then Fresh Freesia, the stem in Pecan Pie, the leaves in Granny Apple Green and the sentiment in Petunia Pop. Prior to adhering this to the card with Dimensionals, I added some 1/4″ white ribbon. I finished up with some Starburst Sequins.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today and will think about ordering this suite. The good news is that it is being carried over to the 2025-2026 annual catalogue.
