Sweet Jar & Jar of Joy – Two Stamp Sets & A Punch

I had such a great time creating these cards using the Sweet Jar stamp set and punch, along with the Jar of Joy stamp set—which also coordinates perfectly with the same punch. Gotta love it when one punch works with two different stamp sets, right? Total win! These sets are so fun to play with. I love how everything tucks so neatly into the little jar, and the creative possibilities are endless. Between the two sets, you’ve got something for just about every occasion—birthdays, Christmas, winter scenes, Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, St. Patrick’s Day, and of course, sweets and treats you can use year-round.

If these stamp sets aren’t already part of your collection, I think you need to add both stamp sets and that versatile punch to your shopping list. You’re going to love all the ways you can use them!

Time to break it all down—let’s dive into the details for each card so you can recreate them with ease!

Start with Azure Afternoon cardstock, 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Add a 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ layer of Basic White. Colour a 3″ x 4″ piece of the Irresistible Designs with a Blending Brush and Azure Afternoon ink, glue to card. Stamp jar and lid in Memento Black. Stamp the 3 candles in Azure Afternoon and the single candle in Timid Tiger. Don’t forget the single flames in Darling Duckling. I added some Wink of Stella to the candles and flames. Punch out lid and jar and adhere to card with Dimensionals. Using Stylish Shapes die, die cut smallest square and a banner in Basic White. Stamp in Memento Black and Azure Afternoon. I added 3 white gems from the Neutral White Dots (one is on the jar lid).

Start with Thick Basic White, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Add a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Real Red. From the Timeless Plaid DSP, I used the Pecan Pie checks paper, cut to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and adhered to card. Using the circle dies from the Stylish Shapes, cut 2 Real Red circles in different sizes as well as 1 Basic White circle. Glue both the red circles to the card. Stamp the sentiment on the Basic White circle and adhere to card with Dimensionals. On a scrap piece of Basic White, stamp the jar in Real Red. Stamp the gingerbread stamp in Pecan Pie and the outline in Real Red. The lid was stamped in Pecan Pie on a scrap piece of Pecan Pie. Punch jar and lid and adhere to card with Dimensionals. Add some of those cute Real Red and White Peppermint embellishments. (Again I put 1 on the lid.)

Start with Real Red cardstock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Add a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ layer of Basic White. From the Nests of Winter DSP, I cut a piece 5 1/4″ x 4″ and adhered to card. I embossed a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Real Red with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder which I found out later has been discontinued but you can use any embossing folder. I used the banner from the Stylish Shapes dies, stamp sentiment in Real Red. and adhere to card with Dimensionals. (I only inked up half the sentiment at a time as I wanted it on two lines. ) Stamp the jar in Memento Black on a scrap Basic White. Stamp the lid of a Real Red scrap with Memento Black ink. Stamp the snowman in the jar with Memento Black. Stamp the scarf in Real Red. Add some snowflakes in Coastal Cabana. Punch jar and lid and add to card with Dimensionals. Add a bow using the Real Red and White Baker’s Twine. Lastly, add some Real Red and White Peppermint embellishments.
