Kintsugi Inspirations Suite

Today I’m sharing two cards I created with the Kintsugi Suite, and I have to say, this suite is absolutely stunning. It’s been around since April 2025 and I’m just getting around to playing with it. It’s already on the Last Chance list, lol, so get it quick before it’s gone for good. This unique suite is inspired by the centuries-old technique of mending treasured objects with lacquer and gold. The suite features ceramic and fracture designs, patterned paper with gold foil detail, and gold embellishments. I love that the dies can cut out shapes from the Designer Series Paper.

My first card was CASEd from Patty Bennet (Pattystamps.com). Base card is Misty Moonlight, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. The layer of DSP measured 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. The vase and cup were stamped in Misty Moonlight on Basic White and lightly shaded using the small blending brush, then die cut. I cut a small slit in the top of the cup and inserted the flower that was die cut from the DSP. The label is from the discontinued Foiled Frames & Labels Ephemera Pack. The sentiment is from Friendy Foliage stamp set and stamped in Misty Moonlight. The vase, cup and flower were added with Dimensionals. Some Flower Accents were added to finish the card. My other card starts with a base of Basic White Thick, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. I embossed a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Soft Sea Foam with the Joined Together Embossing Folder and added to the card. The vase was stamped in Memento Black on Basic White, coloured with Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink Blends, and cut with appropriate die. I added a slit in the top of the vase so I could add my Petal Pink die cut flowers. The vase was added to card with Dimensionals. I cut the “repair piece” from Gold Foil and added to vase with Tombow glue, but wish I’d used adhesive sheets as the piece is so tiny. The sentiment is from Exciting Times, a new stamp set available with the May catalogue release. Sentiment was stamped in Memento Black on Basic White and die cut using the Nested Essentials dies, then adhered to card with Dimensionals. Three Flower Accents were added.
