Split Front Technique Cards

I tried this technique during my Facebook Live this week. I’m not positive that this technique is called Split Front as I’ve also seen it called Raised Panel technique. Whatever it is called, I had lots of fun creating the cards. They are quick and easy. You can cut the angles to however you want making each card different, or you can do it straight without angles. Lots of variety! Here’s a sampling of some cards I made.

The cards have a base layer of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Adhere a layer of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Designer Series Paper. Decide how you’d like to cut your next layer. On the inside edges, add a strip of coordinating colour, and then add layer to card with Dimensionals. Add a sentiment and some embellishments and you’re done. Oh, and make sure you stamp the sentiment before adhering the Dimensionals (ask me how I know).
