Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper meets Scalloped Christmas Cheer

Well, it’s time to bring a little Christmas cheer to my craft room! And today, I’ve got four festive card ideas to share with you, all featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper along with the Scalloped Christmas Cheer bundle.

The Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper, combined with Peaceful Pine, Poppy Parade, Pecan Pie and Basic White, gave me four cards with their own personalities while keeping them all coordinated and festive. The Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies work well with this paper and the large sentiments from the stamp set are perfect as well.

If you’re starting to think about your Christmas cards (and wondering how on earth the year has gone by so quickly!), I hope these projects give you a few ideas to try. Here are my 4 cards.

CARD #1 – MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT

Red and white polka dots make such a cheerful background for a Christmas card! For this design, I paired the patterned paper with Poppy Parade cardstock plus an extra layer of Basic White. The pretty bow pattern is also from the DSP. Sentiment is stamped in Poppy Parade on White and adhered to Poppy Parade scalloped die, and added to card with Dimensionals.

CARD #2 – TIS THE SEASON

The Peaceful Pine polka-dot DSP sits on a Poppy Parade card base with a layer of white in between. I framed the Basic White greeting panel with a red and white patterned border, cut with the Scalloped Christmas Cheer die, then finished it with a little holly embellishment from the Stitched Stockings dies and a few Peaceful Pine sequins (available November).

CARD #3 – SENDING CHEER

For this card, I went with Pecan Pie for card base, added a layer of white, then the Pecan Pie with snowflakes DSP. Stamp the greeting, from Festive Cheer stamp set, in Poppy Parade. I added the large tag with Dimensionals, tied a double bow with Real Red & White Baker’s twine and adhered with mini Dimensional.

CARD #4 – MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT

The holly and berries DSP provides a festive background, while the Poppy Parade scalloped layer frames the Basic White sentiment panel. I used Peaceful Pine for the greeting to bring out the green in the paper, and added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I coloured with Poppy Parade Blends for a little sparkle.

You can keep things simple with patterned paper and a greeting, or add layers, scallops, tags and embellishments to make your card a little more detailed. There’s no one right way to make a handmade card — it’s all about having fun and making something you’re happy to send to someone special.
