Pretty Poinsettia and Shimmering Stripes for a lovely card

Today I’m sharing two lovely Christmas cards featuring the Pretty Poinsettias Bundle. I’ve paired beautiful Real Red poinsettias with the Shimmering Stripes paper to create a gorgeous background that adds just the right amount of sparkle and texture. I also have a beautiful pink and silver card to show you. These cards are perfect for sending warm holiday wishes to family and friends. So grab your supplies, and let’s get started creating these beautiful Christmas cards together! The pictures unfortunately just don’t do the cards justice.

My two Pretty Poinsettia cards are the same except on one I embossed the Shimmering Stripes with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder.
Start with a base of Thick Basic White, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″. Add a layer of Real Red 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. Add the Shimmering Stripes paper 4″ x 5 1/4″. Die cut the Poinsettia leaves in Real Red and the extra leaves in Shaded Spruce. Run the die cuts in the die through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss again using the Impressions Plate which will give you deeper embossing. Add Wink of Stella to the red Poinsettia and glue pieces as desired. Add leaves and add to card with Dimensionals. I added the centre in Crushed Curry and then dabbed it with a Shaded Spruce Blend. Stamp sentiments on Basic White in Real Red and cut with middle square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Add to a piece of Real Red and adhere to card with Dimensionals. Add some Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints. Here are the 2 cards side by side, as you can see the only difference is the embossing on the left one. I like the embossed one better as it seems to add more interest to the card. How ’bout you, which one do you like better?

Here’s another card I made using the same Pretty Poinsettia bundle. Start with a base card in Bubble Bath, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″. Add a piece of the Silver Foil Sheet, 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. Emboss the Shimmering Stripes, 4″ x 5 1/4″, with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder. The poinsettias and leaves are die cut from the Velveteen Assortment using the Bubble Bath and Peaceful Pine. Arrange as desired and adhere to card with Dimensionals. (I actually cut up all the leaves before I placed them.) Die cut the poinsettias centres in Silver Foil and add. On a scrap piece of Bubble Bath, stamp the sentiment in VersaMark and heat emboss with silver from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder. Cut Bubble Bath scrap to size and adhere to a piece of Silver Foil, add to card with Dimensionals. Add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card.
